A Kitten is Named After Cat Man

About two weeks ago I wrote about a lady at work who adopted an orphaned giner kitten she found next door to her place.
What’s weird is that before she found the kitten, I am certain our paths had never crossed, not even to the point of passing my desk. And yet, now that we have met, we seem to run into each other all the time. Pure coincidence? Or maybe it’s as mundane as the fact that now that we have met, I notice her more.
Anyway, I ran into her again a few days ago. I asked her how her new kitten was going. She told me she had already taken him to the vet to get him vaccinated, thinking that at eight weeks old, he was old enough for this.
Her vet told her the kitten was actually only six weeks old – too young to be vaccinated - and to come back in a few weeks time for his shots.
I asked her if she had given him a name and she told me what it was. I couldn’t help but smile. By pure coincidence, she named him after the infamous colleague my team had nicknamed “Cat Man” because he loved to stop by my desk to talk to me about cats.
I asked the lady if she knew Cat Man but she said she didn’t.
Sadly, Cat Man no longer works for my company. I missed him at first because I really liked chatting to him at lunch time.
