Don’t you love chuck outs? Not only do you unclutter your life, it’s also amazing what can turn up.
I was spring cleaning one day when I came across some books I had not read for years. Since they didn’t feature cats, it was unlikely that I would read them again. But I knew someone who would want them: Brett.
The next time he came over to my place, I offered the books to him. He took all of them except one. After he left, I was flicking through the book, wondering who else to give it to before it would go into the recycling bin when I found a fortune teller fish tucked inside it HERE.
I pulled the fish out with glee; I had not seen this fish for over ten years! It was made out of an extremely thin sheet of plastic and it would curl up in my hand. That night, I tried it again and it worked. I took it to work the next day and got two colleagues to play with it. One of them also ended up with the fish curling up in his hand but the other got no response. The fish just lay there as if it was dead. I laughed. “Why haven’t you gotten a response?” I asked. My colleague just smiled and gave me back the fish.
