So after another 60-hour week at work, I finally found time to tidy up the growing pile of newspapers and magazines that was on my table that I use for eating, reading and writing. Underneath some of the papers was an opened bag of old béchamel sauce.
It had been sitting there for days. I could not believe I could have forgotten to put it in the rubbish bin outside. I was also surprised it was maggot-free. It must be because winter had just ended. Imagine if it had been the middle of summer and a fly had gotten into my flat…instant maggot meal.
