Book of the Week: Wet Cats
February 1st 2009 21:00
Any cat lover will appreciate this book. Even if you don’t like cats, just the sheer ugliness of the images in this book will have you laughing away. Can something be ugly and beautiful at the same time? I think so.
When I saw this book, I simply had to buy it. It contains dozens and dozens of images of – you guessed it – wet cats. Given cats’ natural tendency to perceive being coated in water as being about as fun as being declawed, it is not surprising most of the cats photographed look surly, unhappy, mean or a combination of all three.
There are some before and after shots so you can compare how a dry fluffy cat can, after a dunking, turn into a scrawny thing. It’s amazing how much the size of a cat has to do with the volume of its fur.
