Brett’s Back

Finally Brett has come back from travelling overseas. I hadn’t seen him for several weeks; it felt like several years. When I hugged him, I noticed there were some rough patches on his arm. When I asked what they were, he told me they had been inflicted by Butterscotch and Gingersnap.
After exchanging the usual pleasantries and catching up, I asked for a progress report on my boys. Brett said they were good and Butterscotch was being his usual feisty self. Both had been fighting with each other and with Brett. He also said now that the weather is cooler, both boys were snuggling up with him in bed. Gingersnap will sleep through the entire night but if Brett wakes up to go to the toilet, Butterscotch will also wake up. How cute.
