Butterscotch and Gingersnap’s new Diet

Cat sitting for Brett one night, the first thing I did after checking to see his moggies were okay was to check the food and water bowls. Yes, there was water but no, there was no food. I raided Brett’s kitchen cupboards until I found the cat food. To my surprise, there was no Science Diet around. Instead, my favourite boys were now eating Purina Supercoat (salmon and tuna flavour to be exact). No wonder my boys had such strong tuna breath.
Butterscotch stood near the food bowl and miaowed at me, which was unusual for him. I poured out the cat food and immediately he started wolfing it down. I remembered how my ex-neighbour’s cats, Higgins and Miggins, would go into the kitchen whenever they were hungry. They would wander back and forth on the kitchen floor and, if that wasn’t enough to get her attention, jump onto the counter top. My neighbour would never fail to notice this and she would shoo them away. They would then stand in front of the fridge, as if willing the fridge door to open. By now, my neighbour would have gotten the hint and she would open the fridge to serve up some canned cat food and kangaroo meat. The meat looked disgusting but the cats loved it.
Just looking at the Purina web site, I am amazed at the stunning models they use for their cat food packaging. These are just the sort of cats I would love to have.
I feel like buying the cat food just for the packaging. Who can resist such slick advertising?
