Butterscotch reacts by going crazy. Try as he must, he cannot get the sticky tape off his body. Eventually, it gets to a point where Brett is forced to intervene by telling his nephew to remove the sticky tape.
Brett’s nephew doesn’t bother with Gingersnap. The one time he put sticky tape on the placid Gingersnap, he simply left the sticky tape on his body and went about his merry way. This is definitely proof that giving a reaction causes one’s tormentors to continue with their teasing.
