Butterscotch Fails to Impress Fred

I hadn’t seen my friend Fred the caretaker in ages. So naturally, when it was time to finally catch up with him, I came armed with the latest shots of Butterscotch and Gingersnap.
“Are they those Siamese-y cats?” Fred asked. “I don’t like them. They’re evil-looking.”
“I like your ex-neighbour’s cats,” Fred said, ignoring the comment about the cheek bones.
“That’s the zombie cat,” said my colleague when he saw the famous photo of Butterscotch with his eyes lit up. “He looks half dead. Why didn’t you turn on the red eye reduction?”
Jeez, I get asked this all the time. The only person who doesn’t is my ex-neighbour. She also likes to photograph her cats with the flash on, causing their eyes to light up. I think she is the only person I know apart from myself who is a fan of the glowing eye effect. It looks particularly spectacular on her cats because they are black.
