My friend went and bought a Butterscotch-proof bin. He has had no problems since and his cats are now one year old and have outgrown their mischievous kitten phase.
When they were kittens, Butterscotch and Gingersnap would wake up in the middle of the night and play. By ‘play’, that meant running around the kitchen and crashing over as many things they could think of. Down went the bin, the computer, the mouthguard. After twenty minutes of play, they would take a short nap only to have another crash and bang session. Lord knows how my friend managed to sleep; he is the sort of person who can sleep through anything but I’m an insomniac and I would have gone nuts from the constant disturbances to my sleep.
