Calendar Crazy

Blame the Boxing Day sales. Like many others, I went crazy. I ended up with five – count ‘em – calendars. I couldn’t decide which one I wanted so I ended up getting the lot. The cats were so heartbreakingly cute. I took one look at their little catty faces and fell in love with them. My favourites are probably the Rachael Hale ones. The problem is, they are so beautiful that I don’t even want to write on them. Then there’s the Cat Protection Society calendar. I hope the proceeds from the sale of each calendar help fund the work they do in trying to find homes for many homeless cats, including my favourite boys Butterscotch and Gingersnap who now calls my friend Brett “dad”. So in the end, I started writing on the Mixed Breed one. Although I thought the cover image was extremely cute, I’m not a big fan of the way cats were photographed. Their enlarged heads and small bodies just look out of proportion as opposed to cute.
