Conjugal Visits

I’m now on holidays so I asked Brett if I could accompany him on his next trip to see the boys.
Brett said yes. “I don’t think they remember me,” he said sadly. If they don’t remember him they certainly wouldn’t remember me. How long does a cat’s memory last anyway?
The boys are still with the vet, although there’s talk she might be finding them a new home. Brett has assured me that my friend is on the top of the list. Apparently Brett has final say on where they go. He better not be telling me porkies. I can’t wait to see my husband and his best friend.
Now all I have to do is sit back and wait and enjoy my holidays. “When I’m ready to see them I’ll call you,” said Brett.
Meanwhile, like any new homeowner, I am living in a pile of wooden rubble at the moment due to Fred’s inability to assemble my Borders bookcase. Two fights later, I have decided to hire a professional furniture assembler. I wish Fred had told me earlier that there are people out there who do this for a living as that could have saved us from having two fights. Hopefully, the assembler will be able to put it together so I can put all my five hundred books in it so that my place no longer looks cluttered.
