Dippy’s Tribute

Like countless others who have lost an animal friend, my friend Kate felt compelled to do a tribute to her cat’s brother, Dippy, who has just passed away. She told me she didn’t care if people think she is a fruit loop. Being the supportive friend that I am I said “Who cares?” Dippy is obviously important to her even though he is part of another (human) family and if she wants to give him a tribute she should feel free to do so. After all, when humans pass away they get tributes so why shouldn’t that apply to companion animals?
I saw Kate’s tribute. It was simple but sweet. Dippy was one cute cat. I had thought he was a tabby since her cat Milo is a tabby but Dippy is a tuxedo cat. In fact, he looks a lot like the cat one of the senior managers at my workplace managed to get rehomed.
My thoughts are with Kate and Dippy's family during this very sad time.
