Eek!

Oh, man. While I have no luck when it comes to choosing places to rent (I tend to choose places where the owner wants to sell as soon as my lease is up), my sister seems to have no luck in the creepy crawly department, despite suffering from caterpillar phobia.

Her first run in with creepy crawlies was when she was about two and a leech attached itself to her foot. Unable to articulate what was wrong, she whimpered in the car until my parents pulled over to see what was wrong.

A year ago, she was stung by a caterpillar while putting out the garbage. I remembered it left a small mark on her hand.

Finally, last week, she got another leech on her foot.

“I was walking on the grass and suddenly I felt something slimy on my foot. I brushed it off and realised it was a leech. Ew!” She then showed me the mark the leech left when it sunk its jaws into her foot. “I then started bleeding and it wouldn’t stop.”

I am so glad I’m not an outdoors person. What if it was me that got a leech on my foot?
