Found: the Story of my Life

I was overcome with joy when I stumbled across this book in the children’s section at Borders HERE .
And there’s even a ADHD version for you dog lovers out there HERE .
Reading the book, I realised how right one of my doctors was when he said I could pass for an Aspergic. I could relate to every single page of the book. I particularly liked the part towards the end of the book where the author says there is a little bit of Aspergers in all of us.
This book has touched a nerve in me as recently one or two people have accused me of being unfriendly, rude and anti-social. I checked with my doctor and he said I was more unsocial than anti-social as the latter implies I behave in a way to aggravate people while in truth, I actually want to be left alone and have nothing to do with people, especially in relation to strangers.
And I’m not the only one. I used to work with a woman so unfriendly and unhelpful that her manager mentioned it to her in her performance review. She was upset but I could see where her manager was coming from; I once had to get a report from her and it was like pulling teeth just to get her to do it.
