Found: Two Kittens
July 29th 2009 21:00
Now that it’s winter, the Grouchy Tuxedo Cat is nowhere to be seen. I still see his bowl so I know he’s alive and around but I never see him these days apart from one night when I saw him hiding in the bushes. What a disadvantage for a cat to have white fur. If it hadn’t been for the white bits on his body I would not have noticed him but in the dark, the moonlight illuminated the white parts of his body. I looked at him and he ignored me.
Several nights later I was walking past the same spot when I heard something move. I looked into the bushes and saw two kittens. One was black, the other was ginger. The ginger one ducked away immediately and disappeared. The black one looked at me with its dark eyes before moving away. Both would have been around twelve weeks old.
I walked away and turned, only to see the black one coming back out from the bushes. So I approached it but it walked away. I walked away and then noticed it coming back out. I approached it and again it walked away.
I was thinking about calling the RSPCA as I suspected the kittens may have been dumped there but it was late at night. The next day I searched the area but they were nowhere to be seen. Someone had also removed the bushes. Hopefully, the same Someone gave them a home.

The GTC is okay just as long as you remember to only stroke him once or twice. Waiting for him to make the first move also helps. He is the only cat who miaows when he sees me. He is so cute to watch.
