From Catlover to Birdlover

September 21st 2011 21:00

After my recent visits to the Australian Museum, I have now developed a thing for birds – in particular, Birds of Paradise.

I am trying to keep this from Butterscotch although it doesn’t make much difference as I never see him these days. Ditto Brett. He says it hurts too much to see him and Gingersnap. Has it ever occurred to him that the cats might be hurting too from wondering where the bloody hell he is? (Or me, for that matter.)

I had tried to convince my sister to see the AM’s Birds of Paradise exhibition but she wasn’t convinced it was worth coughing up the princely entry fee of $14. Well, what about me? In one week, I ended up going three times due to my camera battery dying from all the photos and videos I shot. That said, I have no regrets as I have many pleasurable memories to take home with me. I think homo sapiens is probably the only species where the females are more attractive than the males. Oh, I tell a lie – in the cat world, males and females are equally attractive.
