How Many Times can you Photograph a Cat?

How many times can you photograph a cat?
Well, hundreds actually. That’s what I think anyway.
This question came about after a friend came to stay at my place. I showed her my photo albums and made the mistake of not warning her about the possible boring content.
Within minutes, her eyes were glazing over. She started flipping through my albums faster, even skipping pages! She then said my photos of Butterscotch and Gingersnap captured them from every possible angle.
“Can’t I see some photos of humans?” she asked, sounding like my parents. My parents have seen my digital prints – fresh from the camera shop - many times. Ninety nine per cent of my photos are of cats. At first, my father was curious and wanted to check out my photos. After two occasions of seeing dozens of cat photos, he no longer asks. If there is a human in these photos, it is my friend Brett, Butterscotch and Gingersnap’s owner, of course!
My mum is more tolerant and will look at any photos I hand over to her. Yesterday she said that judging from his looks, Butterscotch is the feistier of the two and that he reminded her of a lion. “That cat doesn’t suffer fools gladly,” she said.
I then showed her a home movie I shot of Brett playing with Butterscotch.
“It must be wonderful being one of Brett’s cats,” she said. “He obviously loves them very much.” I could second that.
