If I Can’t Have the Boys, Neither can my Friends (Part two)
January 11th 2012 21:00
I spent the rest of the day feeling disappointed. I texted my details to Anastasia and offered to pay her for photos of them but I got no response. I was also shocked that Brett had owned her so much money. That would explain why he has been so evasive about the vet; he probably didn’t want me talking to her and finding this out. It makes me wonder what other secrets he is keeping from me.
The most frustrating thing about it was knowing Brett didn’t offer them to me when all along he was planning to get them rehomed anyway. What was this? If he couldn’t have them, he didn’t want his friends to have them either?
Still, I was glad to hear that the boys are still together and are happy in their new home. I’m now wondering what to say to Brett when I next see him.
Anastasia did mention she had an Abyssinian cross that needed to be rehomed. That said, it was hard to get excited about a sight unseen cat when I had my heart set on my beloved boys.
Fellow cat lover, Fred, understood: “It’s one thing to get excited about cats you know but when it’s one you’ve never met…” He also thought Brett was a scumbag. “He’s not a fit person to be entrusted with a royal moggy. Dogs? Certainly. Cats? Never!”
I just hope I hear back from Anastasia soon. I miss my boys so much.
