It’s Sale Time

September 15th 2010 21:00

Like any shopaholic, I can get used to all these sales that keep happening. Better still, I get emailed discount vouchers from Borders. The days of me paying full price for anything are practically over.

At one bookstore, I found a copy of Michael Morpurgo’s Kaspar Prince of Cats in paperback for about $16. I was thinking of buying it but like any smart shopper, I decided to shop around. I’m glad I did; a few stores away was a newsagent that specialises in selling remainder books at hugely discounted prices. Most of the time they don’t even mark the book so you feel you really are getting a bargain. Unbelievably was the same book but in hardcover for only $7.95. I grabbed a copy, literally laughing all the way out of the shop.
