Jetoy? Oh, What joy!

My sister and I have this thing going: she drags me to Chinatown and I am supposed to amuse myself while she goes shopping. It goes without saying that I am an unenthusiastic participant, although I do enjoy walking there and my sister’s company. The problem is that I have little interest in Chinese DVDs, Hello Kitty or in Yum Cha. Neither am I keen on the factory outlets nearby, the designer snob I am.
But all that changed last Saturday when we happened to walk by a shop that sold lots of cute cat products. I had to stop and look. For once, I was actually enjoying myself as I found myself surrounded by dozens of cat-themed stationery and home wares by a Korean company called Jetoy. After ten minutes or so of browsing, it was obvious I was going to be in there for a while so I told my sister to do her own thing and that I would call her when I was done. It took so long to decide what to buy as there were so many cat-themed products to choose from: clocks, pens, mobile charms, key rings, diaries, wallets, passport holders, pencil cases, luggage tags and so on. I ended up buying a diary and a large tote bag. My sister kindly bought me a key ring.
I am now planning my next expedition to Chinatown – as soon as I get paid, of course. My sister is now happy as she can now go to Chinatown without me moaning and groaning for a change.
