Lost: one Kitty Book

I am so annoyed. I was out shopping with my sister over the weekend for a particular dress that was on sale. We went to the store (which was located about twenty minutes walk from the CBD) and was told they were having a one-off sample sale a few blocks away so we could get our dream dress even cheaper!
We found the dress. It was marked down to $30. In my excitement, I left my book at the second store. Because it was a small book, I did not realise it was missing until several hours later, when I was at my sister’s house.
Luckily for me, we did not go to many shops that day so it only took two phone calls to locate the book. The trouble was the sample store was about to close and the owner said she would leave my book at the first store for me to collect but I would have to wait until Tuesday as they don’t open on Sundays or Mondays.
I am frustrated at my stupidity; the book was an expensive one I managed to get at a discount and it was about Sphynx cats, one of my favourite breeds. Because I was halfway through the book when it went missing I am now left hanging. To distract myself, I then started reading another new cat book that I had also bought at a special price.
I hope the owner remembers to bring the book with her on Tuesday. I will be so annoyed if she forgets and I have to keep chasing her for the book. That said, I can always get another copy from Amazon, which is cheaper than what it retails for in Australia…
