My Boys Still Have Tuna Breath
December 28th 2009 21:00
I haven’t seen my boys for several weeks now. However, Brett has given me several progress reports. The latest is that they are now letting Brett brush their teeth and are enjoying the chicken-flavoured tooth paste. Brett says they can’t spit it out so they simply swallow it with relish. Their breath has improved too; Brett says while it still smells fishy, it’s nowhere near as fishy as it used to be. He is going to take them to the vet soon for a dental check up.
Apart from that, Brett says now that they are getting older, Butterscotch and Gingersnap spend most of their time sleeping, particularly the latter. “He’s like a teenager,” says Brett. “He doesn’t want to get up in the morning.” I have noticed this as well. When they were kittens they liked to wrestle and explore Brett’s living room and kitchen, causing all sorts of banging and crashing noises late at night. Now, they simply sleep, even when I’m around. Brett must be grateful he can now get a decent night’s sleep now.
