So, okay, I didn’t end up getting the $99 Bird of Paradise book. Instead, I got this John Gould book for $35. Okay, so that’s a lot of money to pay for a secondhand book but considering I saw another John Gould secondhand book at another bookstore for $50 and more expensive secondhand ones on Amazon Marketplace, this guy’s work must be collectable so $35 is not much to pay.
And I get to look at all the luscious BOP drawings. Too bad there’s none of my favourite, the Blue BOP. It’s always the way, isn’t it?
