My Wife’s Gone but the Tailless Tortie is Back
December 21st 2011 21:00
I can’t believe this. Just as I thought our marriage was rock solid, the GTC has disappeared. Normally, every weekend I follow the same routine. Coming home, I sit on the stairs and rest for a couple of minutes. I then take the next flight of stairs. At about the fifth step, I say hello to my beloved wife.
Well, she wasn’t there last Saturday. Disappointed, I made my way home, only to spot a feline at the top of the stairs. While it wasn’t the GTC, it was none other than the Tailless Tortie!
I approached her cautiously, not wanting to scare her. She looked at me with her yellow cat eyes before going back to whatever she was doing before I so rudely interrupted her. Yep, eating some kibble that someone had left for her. I took some photos before she looked at me and miaowed. She then came close enough towards me for me to stroke her fur. It felt surprisingly silky for a street cat.
She then moved away from me. I was hoping she was going to rub her body against mine while she moved around me in a circle but alas, all she wanted to do was to walk past me and presumably hide under the car that was just behind me.
