Some days it does not pay to be a cat. Yesterday, I opened up the Daily Telegraph only to be greeted by a story about a little girl who flushed a kitten down the toilet HERE .
A couple of pages later, there was an update about the woman who put the cat in the bin. Bank worker Mary Bale pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and was fined £250 HERE .
“Some people are a waste of space,” I muttered in disgust.
At first, I thought I might have been too harsh on the little girl but I was reassured to find other people posting comments expressing similar sentiments underneath the Daily Telegraph story.
For once in my life, I am glad my beloved feline boys cannot read…
