Ok, I no Longer Have to Worry About Catching Worms From Animals (or so I Thought)

Yippee! I am safe! I no longer need to worry about catching worms from animals – well, threadworms anyway, says HERE.
There is something about the thought of having worms inside me that I find really disgusting. It did not help seeing a documentary on TV a few years ago about a man who deliberately gave himself worms – I think it was tapeworms - so he could see what effect they would have on his body. The documentary climaxed by showing the long worm that came out of the man after he finally pooped it out. At one stage, he even had a worm segment on his arm and it was wriggling about. For a larvae phobic, this is an absolute nightmare.
Now that I have been reassured by www.mydr.com.au, I need not worry the next time I feel the urge to kiss Butterscotch and Gingersnap. Nor do I need to worry about Brett, who is fond of kissing both cats. On the other hand, the web site implies I can catch other types of worms from pets. Is that true? Ugh.
I turn to my cat library. According to the ASCPA Complete Guide to Cats by James R. Richards, DVM, humans catch can roundworms from cats. Ok, that’s it. I am definitely not going to kiss Butterscotch and Gingersnap, no matter how much I would like to.
