One Dreary Weekend

January 31st 2011 21:00

It was the last Saturday of the Sydney Festival. Opera was going to be held at the Domain. I went home to read the paper and rest my legs before venturing out to watch the opera. And then I came across this story HERE .

I am so angry I could cry. I keep looking at photos of Butterscotch and Gingersnap, imagining them as 4 month old kittens being thrown off the roof.

This is a funny thing about me: because I don't like people, when I read about bad things happening to them they don't bother me much. But if I read about animal cruelty, I get very upset.

It's been over twenty four hours since I read that story in the paper and I am still upset. I think the kitten killer deserves a harsher sentence. And I couldn't give a toss about her pregnancy. I only pity the child she is about to bring into the world and wonder what kind of mother she would make.

Update

The kitten killer has been evicted from her housing commission unit HERE. Serves her right. I am still angry about that little kitten who had to die due to people like her.

I still think about the cat that was microwaved to death in an oven and that happened three years ago.
