Years ago when I used to live in a small country town, there used to be this pet shop commercial that would come on TV late at night. The ad showed a girl sitting down with a dog in front of her. She would stroke the dog from time to time. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, it was quiet cute – or would have been, if it wasn’t for the expression on the girl’s face.
The girl looked unhappy; she looked as if someone had pointed a gun to her head and forced her to pat the dog. At first, I thought it was me until the night my sister saw it on TV. She started laughing at how miserable the girl looked and how her face was enough to put you off from buying from them.
