One Stunning Cat
October 18th 2009 21:00
Meet the Singapura. It is one of the smallest breeds of cats in the world and is must be one of the most stunning cats to ever grace the cover of Cat Fancy magazine. I still kick myself for not buying that issue. If you don’t believe me, please go and check out the cover for yourself:
Cat Fancy Singapura issue
I could pick this cat up and kiss her all day long, just as I could spend all day cuddling Butterscotch and Gingersnap. (I presume she’s a girl because she’s so pretty – sexist, sexist, sexist.) Just look at those large greeny yellow eyes and that perfect muzzle. Purr into my hand, please. That reminds me of the first time I heard a cat purr. I was with my ex-neighbour and her cats when I suddenly heard this low rumble coming from one of them. I asked her what that sound was and she said it was the purr. I was captivated; how can that rumble sound so soothing?
But back to the magazine. I can purchase copies from Ebay and Amazon. The issue itself is not that expensive; the killer is the postage. One seller from Ebay is asking for US $15 just to ship it. That means the magazine will cost over $20 to buy. I should have just bought it from Borders when it first came out! Time to start saving or to look for other sellers. Alternatively, I can buy a digital copy for a fraction of the price and it will probably be delivered to my email address immediately.
