Oops! Calendar Club is Back

Last October and November I bought a couple of cat calendars. With no sign of the Calendar Club stalls in sight, I thought I was finally safe from my calendar mania. And, with the collapse of Angus & Robertson and Borders, who are also owned by the same people who own CC, I thought they had gone for good. And then, towards the end of November, I spotted one in Broadway Shopping Centre. My heart dropped as I thought about my mortgage and wondered if I had the self control to stop myself from buying more calendars.
Still, I had to have a look. They didn’t seem to have as many cat ones as the previous year. That said, I managed to buy one calendar since they only had one copy of it. They had five copies of the other one I liked; that can wait. With any luck, I could hold off long enough for them to go on sale during the New Year.
I will be back soon to check out the bargains. One of the good things about having a mortgage is that it forces you to stop shopping. The days of impulse buying are well and truly over for me. Luckily for me, books and calendars are far more affordable than the designer handbags I used to buy.
