Poor Butterscotch
February 9th 2010 21:00
My poor baby has had mischief inflicted on him. First, Brett’s nephew put sticky tape on him. Later on, he shot a video of him playing air drums. In the video, the nephew sits down in front of the camera holding Butterscotch. He grabs both of his arms and waves them in the air to the drum beats.
When Brett showed me the video, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for my poor baby. I was amazed Butterscotch managed to sit through the three minute session. Patience is not one of his virtues. That said, he does manage to give Brett’s nephew a bite or two before finally wriggling away at the end of the video. As usual, he looks imperious, completely unimpressed with the world and the people around him.
Speaking of musical cats, I have come across comments on Face book where people have said Nora the piano playing cat is a fake. I asked my sister what she thought. “She’s definitely not faking it,” said my sister. “I know it’s real because she sounds off key.”

Butterscotch looks like an Egyptian cat sculpture - very cool. Mine (Dark) is jet black and thinks he is royalty.

I doubt Butterscotch will be impressed. I don't think I've ever seen him look impressed with anything. I have a home movie on my PC of Brett trying to rile Butterscotch up by pretending his arm is a snake. The result? Butterscotch grabs his arm and gives it several bites. This is not a cat to be messed with!
Hi Jason
Butterscotch says thanks for the compliment. He thinks he is the most handsome cat in the world.
Thanks for posting.
