Road kill

“Cats are stupid,” said one of my colleagues.
“No, they’re not,” I retorted.
“If they’re not then how come you see so many of them dead on the road?”
Okay, he got me there. I had to think for a minute.
“Because they like to sleep under cars.”
“See, they’re dumb,” laughed my colleague. “If they had any brains they would sleep somewhere else.”
That’s true but then again, how would a cat know if the car was going to become “alive” again?
He started Googling pictures of road kill. Needless to say, many of them were of cats. I looked away, not because I was offended but because I had to get back to work.
