As an avid TV person, my sister is addicted to Better Homes and Gardens. She keeps telling me to watch it for the animal segment but I normally miss watching it as I normally have stuff to do on Friday nights. Plus I can’t stand waiting around for the seemingly endless home and cooking segments to end just before they switch to the animal one.

One afternoon, my sister was giving me a run down on what had happened on the latest episode. “And they had these cats…They’re called Sa…Sa…Samoan cats,” she said.

“There’s no such thing as Samoan cats,” I replied.

“Well, they have brown paws and…”

“Brown faces?” I finished for her.

“Yes.”

“They’re Siamese cats,” I corrected her.

“Yeah. That’s what I meant. Siamese cats. And they were so naughty.”

“They would be because they are a very active breed. Butterscotch is half Siamese,” I said, thinking of my husband and his penchant for mischief.
