Scaredy Black cat

While I was still mourning the loss of Butterscotch and Gingersnap, a new feline entered my life. Well, sort of.
There I was, sitting at my sister’s computer, watching a video of Brett that someone had posted on YouTube. I was amazed by how much weight he had put on.
“He looks so chunky, don’t you think?” I asked my sister.
“I don’t know. It’s not like I really look at him,” replied Susan. She and Brett weren’t exactly friends.
All of a sudden, I heard my sister say,” There’s that cat that likes to sit on my car.”
I raced over to the balcony, camera in hand. I saw a black cat sitting on the opposite side of the street. I then went outside with the hopes of striking up a new friendship.
At first, things looked promising. The cat moved towards me. Delighted, I prepared myself for getting a feel. It then abruptly changed direction and bolted off. Even when running, I could not help but notice how graceful it moved. I saw it go into some bushes before it disappeared.
I headed for that area and soon found it sitting up on the wall that was next to the bushes. I blinked at it several times with no response other than a blank stare. Still, I managed to take some photos. Afterwards, I went back to blinking at it but it continued to just stare at me so in the end I gave up.
