Stunning Miggins
March 9th 2011 21:00
How’s this for a blast from the past? I hadn’t seen Miggins for several months, not since Higgins passed away. Fred had told me Miggins had started miaowing more:
“It’s as if he had been living in Higgins’ shadow all his life. And then, when Higgins died, Miggins missed him for a while before realising he can now do what he wants.”
I’ve never seen Miggins so vocal. He and Higgins seldom vocalised but when I saw him a few days ago, he miaowed while my ex-neighbour dangled some cat toys above his head. All this happened while I took several photos of him.
“Take as many as you want,” said my ex-neighbour.
Would that happen to Butterscotch or Gingersnap if the other dies? I’d hate to think either one of them was being oppressed by the other.
