The Caterpillar Abacus Dream

Since I work with numbers, it is only natural that when I have dreams about work, I am usually doing calculations on spreadsheets.
Then came the dream about the caterpillar abacus.
Like all my other work related dreams, I was in my office and I had to complete a task where I had to put numbers under various categories. Except that instead of numbers, I had black and brown caterpillars. Each one represented a different number.
On the floor was a grid. I had to put some caterpillars into the positive numeral category and the negative ones in the negative numeral category parts of the grid.
Being caterpillar phobic – even in my dreams – I had someone else do this for me. The end result was a writhing mass of caterpillars on each row. From afar, the caterpillar-laden grid resembled an abacus.
