The Killers Amongst us

I am not pleased. My boys have been killing birds, bringing them home to show Brett. That has given me another reason to add to my arguments against letting them go outside.
“I would be worried if they were killing native birds,” said Brett. “But they’re killing Asian birds. The ones I used to call dickie birds when I was little.”
That reminds me of the time I bought my first digital camera. I was shooting some test footage of Brett and on the video you can hearme saying to him, “Smile for the dickie bird,” before Brett gives me a wide, silly grin.
