The Millipede Killing

Urgh. Several weeks after finding a caterpillar near my front door, I was having a spring clean when I discovered a large millipede in my bedroom. Given that my floorboards are the colour of Lindt dark chocolate, I was surprised to discover it at all.
Freaked out by it crawling away about a foot from my bed, I took a tissue and squashed it before throwing it away. It reminded me of the time when I was staying over at a relative’s house and I also found a millipede in the bedroom. Before I could do anything, it crawled inside the wardrobe where I hoped it stayed. I never saw it again, thank Christ.
