The Poor Duck

The animal lover that you are, you most probably have heard that a duck was attacked and killed by three teenagers last week
HERE .

As usual, I went into mourning. I always do when I read about animal cruelty.
But unlike other reports of animal cruelty, this one really hit home as my own pet ducks had also been kidnapped and killed. I know they were killed because on the night they went missing, my family could hear quacking outside the kitchen. When we went outside to investigate, there were no ducks in sight. We took that as a sign from Brown-o and White-o that they had passed on. Hopefully, they are in a much better place now.
Apart from profound sadness, I also felt anger that people could lack so much empathy. I logged onto Facebook and decided to join some RSPCA groups. One of them said they wanted any information on the incident. Beneath that post were dozens of comments left by people expressing their outrage. Knowing that other people were as horrified as I was restored my faith in humanity. RIP all three little ones. I love you all.
