It turns out one of my colleagues also loves cats but unlike me, he chooses to keep it to himself. I had no idea that we had a love of cats in common until he started sitting next to me. Whenever our work software package freezes, I noticed he would chuckle. One day I turned around to see what he was laughing at and I noticed he was on the icanhascheezburger web site.
For those of you who aren’t in the know, icanhascheezburger contains images of cats in funny, unusual or just plain cute poses like the one below. The photos are accompanied by captions that are written in slang and are misspelled eg “nom, nom, nom” (yummy) and “kitteh”. The images are updated daily; my colleague’s goal is to flick through each and every one of the 600 or so web pages from start to finish. So far, the end is nowhere in sight.
