There’s Some cat Screaming in the Darkness…

This all started a couple of weeks ago. I would come home around dinner time and hear yowling. It sounded like a cross between a baby’s cry and a cat’s yowl. My best friend Andrea (and owner of several cats) reckons it’s the sound of a queen having intimate relations with a tom.
The last time I heard it was last night. I was sitting on the steps, reading when I heard it. Several seconds of rrrrr-owwwww! (Think of the cougar noise on the Cougar Town commercials on channel 7.) I stopped and looked up and then heard it again. I longed to get up and investigate; I wanted to know who the two lovers were. But it was dark and cold outside, not the most conducive weather to conducting a search for the neighbourhood tom cat and his girlfriend.
