Two-Faced Kitten

November 23rd 2008 21:00
A workmate, knowing my love of cats, sent me this link. I feel sorry for the poor baby (or should I say, babies?) My heart cries out for the poor thing.

SMH story

I wonder whether it has one or two stomachs. If it has one stomach, it then begs the question of whether it has one or two food pipes. Will both faces get to eat or only one? I’ve always wondered about two-headed sentient beings. Do both heads feel hunger or does only one? What are its chances of survival? Surely if someone looks after it properly it might have a chance to live a reasonably long life. Lets hope so.

On a different note, I’m going to be getting up early each day this week so I can grab my daily National Geographic wildlife DVD when I purchase my copy of the Daily Telegraph. Each day, I can grab a different DVD when I buy that day’s paper. The last time the Daily Telegraph offered these DVDs, my local newsagents had already sold out of them by 8am. Luckily for me, I found a sympathetic newsagent who was happy to sell me the whole set in one go as long as I didn’t tell anyone. I said I didn’t want to get him into trouble and would be happy to come in each day and buy the paper as long as he was happy to hold each DVD for me but he said it was easier for him just to sell me the whole lot in one go.

It gives me the shivers. I just cant imagine it will have any kind of normal life, but if you go to the Ripleys Believe it or not! Site, they have all kinds of freaks there....Theres a guy in america that collects them. I suppose the animals with extra limbs dont notice much, but they had a photo up of a full grown donkey, with one head, and two bodies. It seemed healthy, but how they raised a creature like that, I have no idea.

Thanks for the Ripley link, Kleonaptra. I'll have to check it out. I've got some cat books that have cats with extra toes. They also have pictures of one-eyed cats and ones with missing limbs but I presume these are from accidents or were surgically removed as opposed to being naturally born that way.
