Now how’s this for a Mothers’ Day present? I found this book over the weekend, just in time for Mothers’ Day. I was enchanted by the lovely photos of a mother duck and her baby. The storyline is exactly what you’d expect from a Mothers’ Day book: a duckling expressing its gratitude for being looked after and taught life lessons by its Mum.
The Mother Duck looks like my beloved White-o except White-o had a slimmer neck. And White-o’s eyes were a vivid blue.
