White-o Tries to Kick me in the Face

After reading a book about raising ducks that said the best way to tell if a duck was male or female was to have one person hold a duck upwards with its back facing them. The other person would then push with two fingers on the area underneath the duck’s belly, near the underside of the tail. If it was male, its penis should pop out. On the other hand, if it was female, there would be an orifice.
My sister and I thought this would be a great idea as it would settle our family debate for once and for all: I was convinced White-o was female as I had read male ducks have a small curly feather near their tail. Neither Brown-o or White-o had such a curly tail. The rest of my family, however, were convinced that White-o was a boy, even though they had no evidence to support this theory.
So there was my sister, standing in our backyard one lazy afternoon, holding White-o against her chest. I pressed down on the underside of her tail and I ended up with two webbed feet, kicking viciously at my face. I moved my face just in time. We had no choice but to abandon our project.
Years later, when I was relating this story to a flatmate, he said, “I’d kick you in the face if I was a duck in the same situation.” So much for getting sympathy.
The debate was finally settled a few months later when my sister found eggs in White-o’s nest.
